Collier Dance school:
The Collier Community center in Conjunction with Begin High school has for many years run a successful dance school, providing training in ballet, contemporary dance, Jazz and steps. The program not only provides it participants with their first steps into the world of the arts but is also an integrated program providing credits for participants’ high school diploma. This program demands of it participation dedication excellence and develops their self confidence in all areas of life. For pupils wishing to participate in this program they must participate in at least 3 works shops weekly. The community center in order to encourage participants from low socio economic backgrounds has a scholarship program. Your gift of $2,000 will help a young person experience the world of dance

Nautical Association:
The Nautical association provides annually the opportunity for hundreds of children from Eilat to enter into the world of sailing. Theory and practical education this program boast today Olympic and world medalist. In order to provide the opportunity to populations from low economic backgrounds the center offers a scholarship program. Your gift of $5,000 will help bring a Childs dream come true to be a member of a team of international champions.

Research Scholarships:
The region of Eilat and Hevel Eilot are investing a great deal of effort in to Branding the region as a center for excellence in the fields of Marine Biology and Renewable Energy. To draw new researchers to the region researchers living and conducting their research in the region are offered specific scholarships for Master’s and Doctorate studies in these fields. The institutions to be included in this initiative are Inter University Institute for Maine Studies Eilat, The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and the Ben Gurion University Campus Eilat
For $4000 you can sponsor a research project in the region, research projects can be presented according to areas of interest and you as the donor will be given progress reports on the research projects.

is an educational and technological initiative for building a dream team of high tech youth, by establishing a training system for computer and communication network profession in Israel’s social and geographic periphery. The program focuses on the value of excellence, team work and contributing to the community

Unistream:
The unistream program provides a Junior MBA program for teens in the 10th -12th Grade. This entrepreneurship program opens the gateway to Israel’s business society and introduces the participants to the values of equality, respect and tolerance. The program culminates with real projects of new businesses and new product entrepreneurships, fruits of the teenagers' hard work, and, most importantly – actual realizable ventures.
$30,000 annually will provide 30 children the Opportunity to participate in the program.

LOVE:
“Leave Out Violence" is part of a city-wide effort to fundamentally change the norms of conflict resolution in Eilat. As part of the larger initiative, "A City Without Violence," the "LOVE" program will engage youth who have been exposed to violence as leaders in the municipal effort to eradicate violent behavior from the community. These young people will be emissaries of a new culture of non-violence, encouraging dialogue and alternative, non-violent methods of conflict resolution.
. Your gift of $30,000 annually will provide 25 children to participate in this program.

Gan Reut special needs Kindergarten:
12 children are provided with extended day care at the Reut Special needs kindergarten; these children suffer from severe physical and developmental disabilities. Gan Reut provides these children with a safe and nurturing environment that encourages them to reach their full potential. As part of the project the Kindergarten wants to include therapeutic riding into the program. This element will improve the children’s, self confidence, coordination’s, and communication skills.
.Your gift of $12,000 will allow 12 children to participate weekly in the equestrian therapy program and the red mountains riding center at Kibbutz Grofit.

Ometz:
The program is designed for 9th-12th grade students with normal study abilities who are in danger of dropping out. The studies take place in small groups, in limited sections, and include a large number of exercises conducted by the tutor. Each student receives individual and group support. The aims of the program: 1. to narrow study gaps and advance struggling students. 2. To increase the percentage of students who are eligible for a graduation diploma.
Your gift of $50,000 can allow classes of 20 students to be run in high schools in Eilat.

Nitzaneh Mada Program
is a program for nurturing and advancing gifted students by studying in homogeneous groups and acquiring cognitive, social and emotional skills. The studies take place on one school day, outside the school. The program allows the creation of opportunities for impacting a knowledge base, skills and insights which allow the students to realize their individual potential in the best way possible. Most of the lecturers on the program are university lecturers and/or experts in their field. Subjects studied in the program: anthropology, criminology, creative thinking, space inventions and discoveries, political thinking, social psychology, chemistry and physics, the capital market, corals and veterinary medicine.
Your gift of $50,000 will allow 90 children to take part in this program.

Yoseftal Hospital:
As a frontier hospital in the most southern point in Eilat the Yoseftal Hospital faces many challenges first and for most is attracting qualified doctors and nurses to provide basic health services in the region. In order to attract new staff to the region the hospital has set up a study Scholarship program for Specialist doctors and nurses incentivize `these professional to come to the region.
At present the hospital requires: 3 specialist doctors in the fields of trauma, pediatrics and internal medicine 6 Specialist nurses in the fields of surgical nurses and Emergency room Nurses
Your gift of $6500 will provide a scholarship package for 1 nurse for the Yoseftal Hospital.
Your gift of $20,000 will provide fellowship package for 1 doctor for Yoseftal Hospital.

Adopt a young community
Support a group of young Israelis who moved to a neighborhood with under privileged conditions. These social pioneers are joined by young vibrant residents of these neighborhoods who have the opportunity to leave but choose to stay. It has been proven beyond doubt that these Young Communities have the ability to bring about long-lasting change in Israel by reinforcing their efforts. They serve as a unique, internal change agent by living full lives and in addition volunteering, creating new educational programs and social services while bringing about long-lasting social change. They come from all parts of Israeli society, from socialist youth movements to religious Zionist ones; native-born Israelis to new immigrants from Ethiopia and FSU. Today over 90 Young Communities are making a difference across Israel today – every day. Each community averages about 40 families.

Social Workers:
Eilat population poses a unique challenge to the welfare department in the region, with over 20% of population single parents, 50% of the population working for minimum wage, and the majority of residents not having the support network of family in the region, the welfare department is an constant situation of under staffing. Until this current academic year there was no opportunity for residents to study social work and so there has been a constant short fall of at least 6 social workers to fill full time positions.
The welfare department wishes to offers students completing their final year of studies in social work a onetime scholarship to cover all of their tuition fees through out there university careers in order to attract new young professional to the region who will commit to a minimum of three years work in the region.
Your gift of $6500 will provide a scholarship package for one Social Workers in Eilat.

Absorption of New Immigrant families in Eilat:
In a new initiative by the Jewish Agency a group of ten Hungarian families are to be absorbed into the Eilat community. The program includes rental aid packages, Hebrew studies, and academic studies in hotel and tourism management. The UJA has been asked to support this project by providing additional support for the children of these families. During the first year of arriving in the country children often suffer as parents learn the new language, find their way in a new culture and look for gainful employment. In order to ensure successful integration we aim to provide the children of these families with extra tuition, social activities, workshops at the local community center and most importantly with the emotional support that is often so hard to give by the parents.
The total requested support for the project is $50,000
Your support of $5,000 can sponsor one child to receive a full support package during the first year in Israel.

Dormitories Project:
The dormitory project is intended to provide high-quality, low-cost accommodations to students attending Eilats higher education institutions. To meet the needs of students requiring such housing, the dormitories will be comprised of fully furnished living units. Located on campus, yet in a residential area adjacent to one of the city’s commercial centers, the project ideally integrates students with both the university and Eilat community.
This project offers a number of opportunities for donors including: gifts for individual rooms, complete apartments, complete floors as well as donations for soon to be built student club house.

Upgrading the Department of Emergency Medicine at Yoseftal hospital in Eilat:
More than 50,000 patients are treated in Yoseftal’s ER each year, and the next closest emergency room is 240
kilometers away. The provision of emergency medicine is at the core of Yoseftal’s mission and is one of the main reasons for its very existence. Thus the need for upgrading the facilities is clear.
In response to this critical need, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto has committed itself to facilitating a massive upgrade of Yoseftal’s emergency room. The existing space will be expanded from 250 to 1,300 sq.m. (14,000 sq.feet) and will be fitted with state-of-the-art medical equipment.
