Advocacy Missions

Magbit Canada works with the Canada-Israel Committee (CIC), Canadian Council for Israel and Jewish Advocacy (CIJA), Canadian Jewish Congress (CJC), University Outreach Committee (UOC) and National Jewish Campus Life (NJCL) to bring to Israel leaders who impact Canadian public opinion. Recognizing the global rise in anti-Semitism and the need to consolidate Canadian support for the Jewish state, we organize an annual average of 50 advocacy missions that help educate and inform participants about Israel.

Attended by Canadian professionals from government, business, media and academia, the missions aim to secure the influence and respect of these non-Jewish leaders for Jewish and Israeli positions. Based on our experience that the best way to understand Israel is by visiting and learning about the country, participants acquire in-depth, unbiased insight into the current situation here. This, in turn, impacts positively on their views and actions vis-à-vis the Jewish state after they return to Canada.

Magbit Canada is honoured to play a significant role in enabling the Canadian Jewish community to achieve its advocacy goals. Through these advocacy missions, we help provide the Canadian Jewish community with not only the best ambassadors for local and Israel-related causes, but also new solidarity partners.

As the Canadian Jewish Federations representative in Israel, we disperse and monitor funds,
and touch the lives of thousands of Israelis and Canadians daily through our
projects, programs and other activities.
