Education Programs
Recognizing that the main way to effect lasting change is through education, Magbit Canada has helped launch and support numerous formal and informal education programs that raise student achievement and instill self-confidence among Israeli youth.
By promoting basic education and leadership skills, implementing high standards, and fostering supportive outreach programs, we are creating an educational framework that provides children with the tools they need to succeed in the future. Our programs reach every segment involved in the educational process, from students and their parents to educators and activity counselors, who provide crucial guidance on a daily basis.
Our Gesher Hai (Living Bridge) programs focus on informal educational programs for elementary- and high-school pupils. Within the framework of the BeYachad initiative, we have helped develop programs designed to narrow scholastic gaps for at-risk students, while at the same time creating a new educational culture.
We also sponsor numerous after-school activities and enrichment programs, such as young leadership development, community service, and Friday activities that provide pupils with a productive framework when school is not in session. In addition to these invaluable opportunities, we support formal training programs for teachers, principals and municipal leaders.
While our programs are primarily aimed at honing the skills of Israeli youth, they also provide social and extra-curricular opportunities for students within a safe and secure environment. Students can improve their basic skills in Hebrew, English or math, or discover new talents and career opportunities through art, dance, music, computer, environment, and entrepreneurship classes.
Empowering students to improve themselves and their communities, our education programs also instill an appreciation for Zionism and a respect for the basic values of democracy, humanism and pluralism.
