Programs Overview

Magbit Canada is committed to improving the well-being of Israelis in various aspects of their lives. As a result, we support a range of programs that positively impact all segments of the population – from children and youth to the elderly. In addition, we have developed a number of people-to-people programs in our continued efforts to bolster the growing relationship between the Israeli and Canadian Jewish communities. Touching the lives of thousands of Israelis and Canadians, our wide array of programming helps bring the concept of Am Echad – a united people – to fruition.

Our programs are divided into four areas:

Social Welfare

From immigrant absorption to economic development, our social welfare programs cater to underprivileged segments of the Israeli population, with a particular focus on peripheral regions in the north and south of the country.

Education

We support informal education programs for elementary- and high-school pupils, programs designed to narrow scholastic gaps for at-risk students, and training programs for teachers, principals and municipal leaders.

People-to-People

Through our active involvement in Partnership 2000 and the Gesher Chai initiative, we help build personal and lasting contacts between Canadians and Israelis of all ages.

Non-Profit Organizations

From improving the quality of Israeli life, through empowering Israeli youth, to connecting Israeli and Canadian Jewish communities, our programming helps advance Jewish values, Jewish identity and Jewish unity both today and long into the future.

As the Canadian Jewish Federations representative in Israel, we disperse and monitor funds,
and touch the lives of thousands of Israelis and Canadians daily through our
projects, programs and other activities.
