Educational Facilities
When it comes to strengthening Israeli society, particularly in the periphery, education is a top priority. As a result, we have focused many of our capital project efforts on building kindergartens, pedagogic centres and public libraries.
As mass waves of immigrants arrived in Israel in the 1950s and 1960s, development towns and communities quickly sprung up to cater to the large influx of new arrivals. Often comprised of large families with many young children, these newcomers required a solid educational infrastructure from the earliest stages of life. Magbit Canada responded by creating over 65 kindergartens and daycare centres spanning the entire country from Kiryat Shmona in the North to Arad in the South.
One way to improve education is by enhancing the ability of teachers within the system. To do so, we have developed pedagogic centres in Kiryat Shmona and Be’er Sheva (Greenberg Centre) to enhance teacher performance in both formal and informal education frameworks.
Libraries are renowned for catering to the entire spectrum of the population from toddlers to the elderly. We have helped establish these vital public resources equipped with reading and reference rooms in several venues throughout Israel, including Kiryat Shmona, Acre, Kfar Yona, Kfar Gvirol, Nes Tziona, Be’er Sheva, and Yeruham.
