Faige Zimmerman, Chair, Israel Residents Committee (IRC)
Faige Zimmerman was born and raised in Canada. Before her aliyah (immigration to Israel) in 1980, Faige was involved in numerous Zionist activities including her last post as National Chair of the Canada Campaign Women’s Division.
In Israel Faige founded and served as the first Chair of the international Keren Hayesod Women’s Campaign and founded and chaired “Lion of Judah – Israel.” She is the Founder of International Women's Forum in Israel and the founder and President of Equal Opportunity, a national program for early child development.
In addition to the women’s organizations she founded, Faige is also Chair of the Israel Cancer Research Fund and the initiator and a member of the Organization for the Advancement of Women in Politics in Israel.
Today, Faige dedicates her time to chairing the Israel Vocal Arts Institute and participates on the boards of many cultural institutions.
